Driver's License
How do I obtain a Class D driver's license?
There are two requirements you must meet before obtaining a Class D driver's license. First, you must set up and take a skills test from a state-approved tester in your area. Next, go to your local Driver's License Bureau and take the written knowledge test.
Does a student need a new Verification of Compliance (VOC) to obtain a license?
The VOC is suitable for 90 days. A new one may be required if you exceed that period.
Payment Policies
Do you offer payment plans?
Normally we do not offer payment plans, however, if you are in need of a payment plan, please contact us to see how we can help.
Do you offer refunds?
The school may retain up to $75 as administrative expenses and, from the remainder, shall refund that portion of in-car tuition and fees for services not received. No refunds after 30 days.
Permit
How long is a Class D permit good for?
The permit is good until the student turns 18. At 18, you will need to reapply and the new permit is valid for six months.
How old do I have to be to qualify for a Class D driving permit?
In the State of Idaho, you must be 14 and ½ years old to apply for a permit.
What steps are needed to obtain a Class D permit to take drivers ed?
The student needs to go to the local Driver's License Bureau with a natural-born parent or a person with a Power of Attorney to sign for that Parent. Bring the following documents with you:
- A certified Birth Certificate
- A picture ID from school or a yearbook picture, or a passport.
- Verification of Compliance form from your school saying you are in good standing and attending that school.
- An original Social Security Card

What happens if the student fails a knowledge test?
If the student fails a knowledge test, they must wait a minimum of three days to retest. The student will also be required to pay for an additional knowledge test.

Behind-the-Wheel
Will there be other students in the car?
No, we have found that one student and one instructor is the best ratio for teaching our students.
When will my student start driving?
When Dynamic Driving School is notified through the online company, Teach Safe, that Your student has completed the online portion of the program, they will be allowed to start driving.
Can I drive with a parent or guardian before taking drivers ed?
You can practice in a parking lot or on your property but not on a recognized street.
Can the parent or guardian ride along with the student?
Yes, if there is any concern about the student's safety, the parent may come along.
What kind of vehicles do you have in your inventory?
We drive the top Toyota Hybrid vehicles; The 2014 Toyota Avalon and the 2016 Toyota Avalon. We also operate the Luxurious Lexus ES 300 HL.
